The idea behind Outokumpu's "Inner Circle" is to connect stainless steel processors, recycling companies and steel mills to make supply chains more transparent, faster and more efficient. The main goal is to create a closed loop for steels and thus strengthen the circular economy in the stainless steel sector in Europe by connecting new scrap collection points (production companies that make their products from stainless steel and generate stainless steel scrap from their production), recycling companies (companies processing stainless steel scrap) and Outokumpu (stainless steel producer). Together we believe that this initiative is a model with a future and that the long-term, successful and trustworthy partnership between CRONIMET and Outokumpu is good basis for the development of this initiative for a sustainable circular economy. We are glad that this idea of Outokumpu, which we supported as the first signatories of “Inner Circle” initiative has reached our industry and that other companies are joining it.
