Calibration and official verification of scales in CRONIMET Ostrava after the floods
On October 14, 2024, our scales were successfully calibrated and officially verified
Official verification of a scale is the process of ensuring that a scale meets the requirements set by legislation and is approved for use in areas where precise weighing standards is required. This process is carried out by an authorized verifier. According to Czech legislation, official verification of scales takes place every 2 years.
During the official verification of the balance, the verifier uses certified standards and measuring equipment to compare the measured values of the balance with legislatively established accuracy standards. If the scale meets these standards, it receives a certificate that confirms its approval for use in the areas and for the purposes specified.
Official verification of the scale is important for consumer protection. Scales that have been officially verified are considered trustworthy and are approved for use in a commercial environment.
In view of the recent flood situation in the Czech Republic, which, among others, affected the Moravian-Silesian region very intensively and also hit our company, we were forced to accelerate the regular verification of our commercial scales.
The calibration of the small scale intended for internal purposes and the official verification of the road scale Gravex IT9000 up to 60t and the small scale IT9000 Graven up to 5t, which are intended for commercial purposes, were carried out last week by the company VAHY PRO, s.r.o. in cooperation with the Czech Meteorological Institute as an authorized control body.
